::24.2.05:: D Day

Well Andrew has been officially an adult for 24 minutes and he hasn't moved out yet. I can hear him thumping around in his room, and not that move out kind of thumping either. This wasn't part of the plan. He's never going to move out. It's going to be like Mother and Son.

At least things are going better tonight than they were 18 years ago when, around about now I was woken but my water breaking.

da, da da da da da, da da, dut dut dut dut daaaa (theme song to mother and son) I could hear it playing as I read your post - I was out the door at 17 - couldn't wait - you must be making it tooooo comfortable for him.

I hear people are leaving much later in life than they used to, because the cost of living and studying is so high. And Italian boys are staying at home into their 30's 'cos their mums look after them so well. It could be you...

i don't look after him. he isn't comfortable. i don't understand.

I've been using the "slack parenting leads to independent children" style of mothering. Hope it damn well works. Maybe you did too good a job.
